Personality is a huge role in the music community. People who prefer only a limited genre , tend to judge how other people are by their music choice. For example, people who like rap and don’t like rock may judge another person who listens to that music or vice versa. Music does not define a person, it conveys feelings but not all these feelings may be true. Some songs can be misleading and give off a totally different vibe than how the person truly is. Getting to truly know someone who has different music taste than you brings out a whole new level of understanding. Nobody has to like the same music; but rather than judgement of taste, focus on personality.

Me on the left with one of my closest friends. Seeing Hatebreed in Providence, RI
There’s nothing better than being a part of a music scene where no matter who you are or what you wear everyone is treated with respect. When the chorus of your favorite tune hits and the entire crowd is singing, nothing is more unifying. The concert experience is heightened when you feel like a part of a family. Continue reading
Elitism
Who Cares?
There has always been this high demand for covers of popular songs done by alternative artists. Even a high demand for infusing different genres of music with heavier music. Are we so ashamed about our personal music tastes that it requires masking it under covers? Continue reading
