Massachusetts is one of the most desirable places to go for music shows, weather it be Boston, Worcester, Cambridge, or smaller towns. The venues in Massachusetts branch off within each other and make a family tree. Music brings people closer together than ever and every venue has their own special way of doing it. One of the venues that is big with helping the community and helping everyone connect together is Starlite, located in Southbridge MA. When walking into Starlite, you can feel how different the atmosphere is there than in any other place. Everyone there gets along and there isn’t any fighting, they welcome people from all different cultures and accept them for who they are. Many events happen there for the community including art, meditation, music, holiday events, craft sales, dances, open mic, game night, and more. You can’t leave there without making friends and more venues should have this sort of idealistic implement. It brings the community closer together forming relationships, businesses, and helps shape the town or city.

Energy & Connection
Getting the audience fired up helps with oncoming shows, if people liked the performance then they will want more. Two main elements that spiral together with music are energy and the connection between music and people. While listening to music we all experience the feelings of music differently, some are good and some can be very emotional. These connections bring everyone together in their own way. Some bands have difficulty bringing more energy in their performances. Some tips to help get people in the crowd to get hyped are making speeches before songs, making eye contact with the crowd, talking to them, moving around on the stage a lot, and getting the crowd to participate in singing, clapping, or jumping around. Talking to the audience and letting everyone know that they are not alone is a huge thing in the music industry, it is another way of connecting to individuals on an emotional level. No one should ever feel like they are alone in this world, there are many people who are going through similar situations and are willing to help each other out. Music is a vital discovery to this world and has saved people, whether it is just listening to it or physically playing. So boost up the performances and make the connections! -Kat
